Sources of support for postgraduate research supervisors include:

People participating in a supervisor training event.

  • Research centre leads, postgraduate research leads and the postgraduate tutor in each School
  • The research mentoring scheme, which provides mentoring support to all staff for all topics related to research
  • The early-career forum and mid-career forum which provide peer support to all University staff and usually meet each quarter
  • External support and resources from Vitae, which supports researcher career development, and the UK Council for Graduate Education (UKCGE), which represents postgraduate education and research in the UK. The University subscribes to both organisations.
