Standard and enhanced postgraduate fees

Taught postgraduate degrees (MA/MSc)

Standard tier: £7,710 (full-time) or £855 per 20 credits (part-time)
Enhanced tier: £8,365 (full-time) or £930 per 20 credits (part-time)

Two-year postgraduate degrees (MA/MSc)

Standard tier: £9,935 (£4,967.50 per year full-time) or £855 per 20 credits (part-time, re-study only)
Enhanced tier: £10,835 (£5,417.50 per year full-time) or £930 per 20 credits (part-time, re-study only)

Postgraduate Certificate (PgCert)

Standard tier: £2,565 (full-time) or £855 per 20 credits (part-time)
Enhanced tier: £2,790 (full-time) or £930 per 20 credits (part-time)

Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip)

Standard tier: £5,130 (full-time) or £855 per 20 credits (part-time)
Enhanced tier: £5,580 (full-time) or £930 per 20 credits (part-time)

Postgraduate research degrees

Standard tier: £4,400 per year (full-time) or £2,200 per year (part-time)
Enhanced tier: £6,000 per year (full-time) or £3,000 per year (part-time)
Research writing-up fee: £650*

*After three years of study (or five years for part-time), students will pay the writing-up fee for one year (two years part-time). If your thesis is not submitted within this period, the fee normally reverts to the standard UK part-time rate (standard or enhanced tier).

Enhanced fees apply to certain disciplines that require additional resources. The relevant fee will be confirmed in your offer letter.

Postgraduate tuition fee discounts

Alumni Loyalty Discount

You may be able to benefit from a 20% discount towards your course fees for postgraduate degrees if you have successfully completed a course at Teesside University in the previous 10 academic years.

Postgraduate health degree fees and funding

A separate tuition fee and funding structure applies to UK students studying the following full-time health-related postgraduate degrees:

These courses are eligible for Student Loans Company funding under the same terms as undergraduate tuition and maintenance loans.

Health postgraduate courses do not qualify for the standard 20% postgraduate fee discount.

Additional financial support is available through the NHS Learning Support Fund.
