Artificial Intelligence Ethics and Applications
You gain a deep insight into the business applications of artificial intelligence (AI) and data science (DA). You explore a range of AI and DS applications such as chatbots, virtual assistants, medical diagnosis, biometric recognition, personalisation, fraud detection and autonomous machines, and analyse both the risks and opportunities of applying AI and DS techniques in these areas.
You develop a piece of work that brings together key elements of your learning and apply it in a professional context.
You choose the unique composition, content and context of your project, demonstrating reflective practice with a commitment to continual learning and development.
The module is front-loaded with taught content to provide you with the requisite knowledge to successfully manage and complete your project.
You gain a deep understanding of real-world organisational challenges and facilitates the development of effective solutions.
You become a proficient planner who can execute in-depth research in business and management. You also learn how to carry out literature reviews to build a clear understanding of a topic and develop research methodologies to investigate and solve real industry problems.
Through a blend of quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques, you master the art of dissecting data to propose standardised solutions to intricate industrial issues, culminating in a professional report presentation.
Data Analytics and Decision-making
Decision-making involves selecting a course of action from multiple alternatives, and can impact individual and organisational performance. Business intelligence tools provide managers and leaders with detailed information about an organisation’s current, past, and sometimes future, state to facilitate faster business decision-making. You are introduced to the techniques available for analysing large datasets and interpreting patterns and trends, so you can extract meaningful insights that aid effective decision-making.
Global Digital Innovation and Transformation
Explore how information technologies support emerging business models, and how digital opportunities can be strategically transformed into sustainable competitive advantages. Study critical theories and concepts to analyse and differentiate the values of technologies, such as cloud computing, social media, big data and the internet of things.
You critically evaluate organisational design, change and development, and develop an understanding of organisational change through the theories and conceptual frameworks of organisation design and the principles and practices of organisational development.
Both are critical to our understanding of organisations and how they function and both reside within a framework of organisation theory.

How you learn
You learn through workshops, lectures and interactive seminars There are also elements of project?based and experiential learning. You work on live briefs and industry?led activities and use digital tools and to develop your learning.
How you are assessed
A wide variety of assessment types including reports, case studies, presentations, reflective logs, research proposals and a major applied project.
Entry requirements
A 2:2 degree or equivalent.
IELTS 6.0 with no band below 5.5 (international applicants).
RPL is also considered.
