An artistic Health Conference is prescribed

17 June 2003

Artwork and poems created by local children from the Roseberry Community Primary School, in Great Ayton, will be displayed at an international conference on Wednesday 18 June, at 1pm in the foyer of the University of Teesside's School of Health & Social Care's Centuria Building.

This three day conference, running from Wednesday 18th to Friday 20th June, aims to promote evidence-based, user-focused practice for the management and prevention of musculoskeletal conditions, and incorporates the 2nd International eMusk Meeting. eMusk is an international initiative that was started in Italy in 2001, and for which the University of Teesside is the Co-ordinating Centre. eMusk strives to provide a forum for like-minded people to network and interact, in order to promote an evidence-based, user-focused approach to the management of musculoskeletal conditions. Professor Tracey Howe, Assistant Director of the School of Health & Social Care and organiser of eMusk, Mrs Potter, Head teacher of Roseberry Community Primary School and teacher Mrs Brown will be present when the artwork and poems are unveiled. Speakers from the conference will also be available. Events at the conference include talks by leading national and international health care practitioners.
