Get advice on study and careers

Two events for students considering postgraduate study or seeking advice on their career are being held at Teesside University.

Teesside University’s annual postgraduate open day is on Wednesday 3 November, from 11.00am to 3.00pm.

The postgraduate open day includes a session on the benefits of postgraduate study, a finance clinic, a workshop on applying for postgraduate study and a student corner where current postgraduate students will talk about their experiences.

Sarah Smith, Teesside University’s recruitment co-ordinator for the North-East, said: 'For the first time, the University’s postgraduate open day will have a more informal feel. The programme has been tailored around an individual, one-to-one approach.

'We’re encouraging those who are interested in postgraduate study to come along and talk about their individual requirements, where they’d like to go in the future and how our postgraduate courses can help them to achieve their goals.'

Careers fair Meanwhile students and graduates seeking advice on job opportunities are invited to our careers fair on campus from 10.00am to 3.00pm on Friday (5 November).

The careers fair is in the University’s main hall and sports hall, (Brittan Building). The annual careers fair provides an opportunity for visitors to speak to a wide range of potential employers and find out what careers, jobs, placement and study opportunities are on offer.

The event is open to recent graduates of all universities and all students currently in higher education. Entry is free and there is no need to book.
