Study Group’s International Study Centre at Teesside University opens

19 November 2021

Study Group has officially welcomed the first cohort of students to its new International Study Centre at Teesside University.

Leading international education provider Study Group partnered with Teesside University earlier this year to offer university preparation programmes.

The programmes enable international students to progress to study undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at Teesside University, a higher education institution that has a strong focus on employability.

Teesside University is the first European higher education institution to become an Adobe Creative Campus, providing students with an opportunity to learn the digital skills increasingly in demand by global employers.

Study Group and Teesside University share the same aim to empower learners to successfully progress to higher education and employment.

Reflecting a commitment to closely engaging with business and student employability, the pathway programmes from Study Group’s International Study Centre at Teesside University will be delivered by industry-active lecturers with professional competencies embedded into the curricula.

So far, over 230 students have started studying their induction programme online, with many more expected to join them in the coming weeks.

All students are studying an International Year One course, which means that they will progress directly onto the second year of a degree once they have successfully completed their programme.

Emma Lancaster, Study Group CEO, said: ‘Given that this is a brand-new partnership, and it was only launched in the first few months of the year, it is fantastic to welcome so many students to our International Study Centre at Teesside University.

We are delighted that the Teesside University International Study Centre is now open for business, after months of preparation?in collaboration with?our partners, Study Group.

Dr David Bell, Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) at Teesside University, added: ‘We are delighted that the Teesside University International Study Centre is now open for business, after months of preparation in collaboration with our partners, Study Group.
