Industrial Digitalisation Technology Centre signs partnership with learning tool start-up

The founders of a learning tool start-up have entered into a partnership with Teesside University’s Industrial Digitalisation Technology Centre (IDTC) to help expand its business into the digital arena.

Semester Student Planner (SSP) offers a paper-based planner to aid students in their well-being and growth and help maximise their academic performance.

The business, which was launched with the support of Teesside University’s Launchpad Fuel programme, is now investigating opportunities to access new markets through a range of digital planners.

To support them in this venture it has partnered with the IDTC which help SMEs in the Tees Valley explore opportunities offered through digital technology.

The partnership can also benefit Teesside University as the digital planners can enhance student participation and maintain their attention via a modern and convenient way to manage their study time.

Michael Thompson, Project Manager of the IDTC, said: “Semester Student Planner have developed a fantastic product to support the mental well-being and personal growth of students. With their forward thinking and proactive approach, they have utilised the support of the IDTC to develop a digital equivalent to support their existing hardback offering.

“They have a real customer focussed approach to their operation and exploring alternative methods of delivery based on consumer feedback is a key success of Semester Student Planner going forward. I’m looking forward to seeing where they take the product in the future and urge anyone seeking tools to support with their studies to reach out to them.”
