As well as the support, services and guidance on our student life pages, we offer specific resources for postgraduate research students.

This includes:

• An online orientation for new research degree students
• Recordings of initial research training and session on research standards and values
• Information on accessing our e-Vision portal, where you can view your student record
• Details of the annual review process
• Access to the regulations which provide the framework for your research degree, including on the use of generative AI.
• Guidance documents and forms to take you through the process of:
  • requesting a change to your research degree, for example to move from full-time to part-time study or to change your supervisory team
  • requesting an interruption to your studies if you need to take time away from your research degree
  • formally declaring your intention to submit your thesis for examination
  • requesting an extension to your registration or examination periods.
