Tell us about your background

I’m a private pilot currently working towards my multi-engine piston rating. My aviation career so far has been varied – cabin crew member, simulator pilot supporting air traffic controllers with VFR/IFR simulations, and marketing communications executive for United States airport organisation. I’ve worked with diversity and inclusion projects for a European non-profit organisation, and written for online aviation magazines. I hold a BSc (Hons) Aviation Management and MSc Strategic Marketing Management.

What do you most enjoy about teaching?

I am motivated by inspiring curiosity. I love sharing what I know and helping students understand how the industry works. It’s a world full of moving parts, and there’s always something new to discover, which keeps me learning alongside them.

How can students benefit from your experience?

I’ve spent several years in different roles, so I bring plenty of hands-on experience to class. It’s not just the theory, I like to show students how things play out on-the-job.

What industry links do you have?

I maintain strong connections across the aviation sector, including pilots, cabin crew, managers, senior executives, ground operations staff and aviation journalists.

What has been the highlight of your career so far?

Completing my first solo flight remains a defining moment. I’m proud of my work on global diversity and inclusion projects and supporting the development of future aviation professionals.

Why should students consider studying this course?

You dive straight into it, gaining the specialised skills employers want. You are equipped to demonstrate applied learning and build a strong professional portfolio.

What is the best piece of advice you have for your students?

Show up, stick with it and keep building your expertise. Start your portfolio now and look for your unique angle. Take every opportunity, even if it seems small. Early in my career, I worked as a barista at an airport, and every glance at the aircraft outside reminded me to keep pushing forward. Persistence pays off.
