Teesside University’s quantity surveying programmes awarded prestigious CIOB accreditation

We’re proud to announce our BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying (Degree Apprenticeship) and Cert HE Quantity Surveying apprenticeship have been awarded accreditation by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) for a five-year period from 2026 to 2031.

The accreditation confirms that the programme meets the CIOB Education Framework, providing students and employers with confidence that the course delivers the knowledge, skills and professional competencies required by the modern construction industry.

Supporting professional progression

Professional accreditation is an important benchmark for both learners and employers. It demonstrates that a programme aligns with recognised industry standards and supports long-term career development.

Graduates of the accredited BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying (Degree Apprenticeship), who go on to gain three years of relevant industry experience, may apply for CIOB membership and progress towards achieving Member of the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB) status.
