"The degree apprenticeship was a perfect fit for me."

When I heard about a degree apprenticeship I knew it was the best option for me while being employed. I attended an open day at Teesside University to find out more and I knew there and then it was for me.

The programme has given me the chance to learn more about my job role and the business in general. It has also opened my mind to reflective learning and given me a wider understanding of what happens within the business environment.

I like that there are a range of students on the course from all different backgrounds and industries. You get the opportunity to meet new people and learn from them too. I’ve made some great working relationships and have also expanded my network.

The library on campus is amazing, it’s open 24/7 so you can go whenever it’s convenient for you, which makes it easy to fit around your working hours. The University staff are so supportive and are always on hand for extra help or advice so you never feel like you’re in it alone.

I would 100% recommend a degree apprenticeship. If you’re in a full time job but know you want that qualification behind you, or even just want more experience and knowledge, then this programme is a brilliant offering. It fits within your working week as well as your home life, giving you the best work-life balance, which is something that doesn’t come with a traditional degree route.
