I come from an academic background, holding a PhD from Cardiff University. I am an active researcher with a geographical focus on Japan, looking at destination image and development, as well as the impact of mega events.
I incorporate my expertise and passion into teaching, bringing in examples and insights from my research. I am always keeping up to date with the latest developments in the field, so I can share this broader knowledge.
Friendly staff and a great campus.
Lots of activities and interactivity. I try to get us out of the classroom as much as possible, whether that’s for a day trip to York, a visit to London, or an international travel experience.
I've been very fortunate to have been funded for multiple trips to Japan over the years, and I was there for the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
Visit our campus and see it for yourself. We can easily be reached by train, or you can fly into the rapidly growing Teesside International Airport.
