I am originally from Nepal, the country of Mount Everest. I’m a Lecturer in Digital Marketing. I hold a PhD from Abertay University, an MBA from the University of Wales, Lampeter, and an MA English from Tribhuvan University.

Before joining Teesside, I taught Business Management and served as a Research Assistant at the University of Essex, and I have over 10 years of teaching experience in Nepal. My research focuses on marketing, particularly about the digital relationship marketing and entrepreneurial marketing, with publications in leading journals and active engagement as a reviewer. I am also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Interacting with students, motivating them, and encouraging their growth. For me, teaching is about sparking curiosity, building confidence, and helping students see possibilities beyond the classroom. Watching them transform ideas into action and develop into future innovators is the most rewarding part of my role.
Through practical insights and real-world applications of digital marketing concepts. My background enables me to bridge theory with practice, helping students understand how
strategies work in dynamic business environments. I provide guidance on emerging trends, analytical tools, and innovative approaches, equipping students with the skills and confidence to succeed in a competitive digital landscape.
I have strong industry links through my involvement in a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project that bridges academic research and practical business solutions. I am also actively pursuing a bid with a digital consulting company to develop an AI-enabled wound management application. These collaborations allow me to bring cutting-edge industry insights and innovative practices into my teaching, ensuring students gain exposure to real-world challenges and emerging technologies.
Achieving a balance between academic research and industry collaboration. I have published work in leading journals on digital relationship marketing, entrepreneurial marketing, and consumer behaviour, while also contributing to impactful projects. These experiences have enabled me to apply research in real-world contexts, foster innovation, and create solutions that benefit both academia and industry.
