Explore the world at the University of Teesside

21 September 2007

Why not explore the world with a language at the University of Teesside?

The University’s Business School offers a range of programmes in French, German, Spanish and Chinese.

A special language open evening has been arranged on Wednesday 26 September from 4.00pm-7.00pm. Everyone is welcome, from absolute beginners to those with some knowledge of a foreign language.

Angelika Flynn, Senior Lecturer in German at the Business School said: ‘Learning and speaking a foreign language makes holidays more interesting and enjoyable, and with many businesses operating in the global marketing, language skills can be an invaluable asset in career development.

‘At the University, people can study a language for a variety of reasons – to deal with overseas business contacts, to improve their career opportunities, or simply to enjoy and experience a different culture.’

For information on the open evenings call 01642 342863.
