Sundeep Toor, an animation student from the School of Computing, is one of seven finalists chosen from over 100 students who entered the competition from across the region.
One NorthEast, who organised the Regional Image Student Challenge, is now inviting the public to vote for their favourite entry.
The winner will undertake a one-week placement at one of the region's top media and creative organisations, a top of the range laptop and their idea may be adopted as part of the Regional Image Campaign.
