About this scholarship

You may be eligible for £8,000 if you are studying film and TV production and facing financial difficulty.

Each scholarship is paid across three years of your undergraduate course and supports UK home-fee students. You are considered based on the financial circumstances demonstrated in your application statement and other applicant data available to the University. Preference is given to students applying from within the Tees Valley.

Eligibility

To apply for this scholarship you must:

  • choose Teesside University as your firm choice with UCAS on our BA (Hons) Film and Television Production
  • be applying for the first year of a three year course, full-time, not the foundation year
  • be a UK home-fee paying student
  • outline your financial circumstances and how the scholarship funds will enable your studies.

Awards are made at the discretion of the Scholarships Panel, who may consider your financial background, prior academic performance, as well as other information provided through your application and at any subsequent interview.

About the donor

Franc Roddam is a Hollywood film director and producer best known as the creator of Auf Wiedersehen Pet, the worldwide TV franchise MasterChef, and as the director of 70s classic Quadrophenia.

As a Teesside University Honorary Graduate from the local region, Franc is passionate about supporting opportunities in the creative industries.
