The Teesside Charity Scholarship

The Teesside Charity (formerly the Middlesbrough and Teesside Philanthropic Foundation) is a registered charity set up by Teessiders for Teessiders. It is committed to making Teesside a better place to live, work and do business, and supports opportunities for people and businesses from the region.

Teesside Charity has generously pledged £5,000 to launch the inaugural Teesside Charity Scholarship at Teesside University. The scholarship is awarded in autumn 2022, to an incoming undergraduate student.

One scholarship worth £5,000 is available for the 2022-23 academic year.

You could be eligible for a scholarship if you are applying to study a course within Teesside University International Business School within these subject areas (click to find your course):

The Teesside Charity Scholarship eligibility

This scholarship may be relevant if you face financial difficulty during your studies at Teesside University. You are considered based on the financial circumstances demonstrated in your application statement and other applicant data available to the University.

To apply for the scholarship, you must:

  • be a UK home fee-paying student
  • must come from a Teesside (TS) postcode
  • choose Teesside University as your firm choice with UCAS.
  • outline your financial circumstances and how the scholarship funds will enable your studies.

Preference is given to first generation university applicants.

How to apply

Eligible applicants are identified by the University - if you are eligible you are invited to complete an application in October 2022.
