About this scholarship
You may be eligible for £5,000 if you study a computing, games development or games programming course, or a course within our Business School and are from a TS postcode.
Preference is given to first generation university applicants. Courses include:

- BSc (Hons) Artificial Intelligence
- BSc (Hons) Computer and Digital Forensics
- BSc (Hons) Computer Science
- BSc (Hons) Cyber Security
- BSc (Hons) Games Development
- BSc (Hons) Games Programming

- BSc (Hons) Software Engineering
This scholarship may be relevant if you face financial difficulty during your studies. You are considered based on the financial circumstances demonstrated in your application statement and other applicant data available to the University.

Eligibility
To apply for one of these scholarships you must:
- be a UK home fee-paying student
- be applying for the first year of a three-year course, not a foundation year
- be from a low income background
- come from a TS postcode
- choose Teesside University as your firm choice with UCAS.
- outline your financial circumstances and how the scholarship funds will enable your studies.
How to apply
Awards are made at the discretion of the Scholarships Panel, who may consider your financial background, prior academic performance, as well as other information provided through your application and at any subsequent interview.
The closing date for applications is 23 October 2025.
