The Teesside Charity Scholarship

The Teesside Charity (formerly the Middlesbrough and Teesside Philanthropic Foundation) is a registered charity set up by Teessiders for Teessiders. It is committed to making Teesside a better place to live, work and do business, and supports opportunities for people and businesses from the region.

Teesside Charity has generously pledged £5,000 for the Teesside Charity Scholarship at Teesside University. The scholarship well be awarded in autumn 2023, to an incoming undergraduate student.

One scholarship worth £5,000 is available for the 2023-24 academic year.

You could be eligible for a scholarship if you are applying to study a course within Teesside University International Business School within these subject areas (click to find your course):

Or if you applying to study any of the following courses within our School of Computing, Engineering & Digital Technologies.

  • BSc (Hons) Artificial Intelligence
  • BSc (Hons) Computer and Digital Forensics
  • BSc (Hons) Computer Science
  • BSc (Hons) Cyber Security
  • BSc (Hons) Games Development

  • BSc (Hons) Information Technology

The Teesside Charity Scholarship eligibility

This scholarship may be relevant if you face financial difficulty during your studies at Teesside University. You are considered based on the financial circumstances demonstrated in your application statement and other applicant data available to the University.

To apply for the scholarship, you must:

  • be a UK home fee-paying student
  • be applying for the first year of a three-year degree course, not a foundation year
  • come from a Teesside (TS) postcode
  • choose Teesside University as your firm choice with UCAS.
  • outline your financial circumstances and how the scholarship funds will enable your studies.

Preference is given to first generation university applicants.

Applications for this scholarship are now closed until 2024.
