The modules are varied and interesting, and a lot of different topics are covered.
The level of engagement the academics have with their students is something that immediately attracted me to Teesside. I visited a few universities, but Teesside was the most welcoming and I felt like I would love my time here. The campus has the friendliest atmosphere and the staff are very welcoming.
I have always been fascinated by the way business works and how people are managed. After doing some research on the course and its modules I decided it was for me. The modules are varied and interesting, and a lot of different topics are covered.
I like the hands-on nature of the course. There are some modules that have been really outside the box but have provided me with invaluable skills that I will use in a professional environment. I really enjoyed the Enterprise and Practice Module where I had the opportunity to work with a local business. That experience was incredible, and you learn so much about how businesses grow.
The campus is continuously being developed and with each addition the student experience gets even better. Services such as Student Futures are excellent at helping you find placements and experience, or just to help you with your CV.
I secured a placement with Glaxo Smith Kleine, a pharmaceutical company. The placement involved me a project that involved updating job descriptions for all posts on the site. It was a great experience to see what it was like to work for a large company.
Yes, the level of interest the University shows in each student’s education is enough to recommend it. Staff are always there to give feedback and help improvement and genuinely want to see you do well. The course has some first-class lecturers who will go above and beyond to help you achieve the best you can.
