Why Teesside?

I attended an open day to see the campus and I really enjoyed it, it felt like the perfect place for me.

Did you enjoy your course?

My course is great. I enjoyed a lot of the modules and the staff are always there if you need any help or assistance. The occupational psychology parts of the course are my favourite. It is also one of the few courses in the country that allow you to do a six-week work placement to gain graduate entry to the Chartered Institute of Personnel and development.

I completed a six-week work placement which I thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend. I was able to get work in many areas thanks to my Teesside experience like police detective, the army, human resource management and TV production.

Favourite module?

I really enjoy Business Law. The legal side of the course is my favourite as I originally looked at pursuing law, but the content of this course appealed to me more.

How was your social life?

I loved getting to know people at Teesside. I was the chair of the athletic union, vice chair of the student council and on the sports committee so I was able to meet a lot of great people and make some great friends (including my wife).

Did you take part in any extracurricular activities?

I joined the karate club and remained a member for three years and even became a club officer. I was also a trustee of the local sea cadet corps and loved it. The area surrounding Middlesbrough is great, there are so many things you can do in your spare time.
