Why Teesside?

My company were happy to sponsor half of my further education studies. I liked the sound of the course, and the flexibility was just what I needed after having 20 years out of education, a full-time job and young family.

What do you like most about your course?

The flexibility of the course allows me to study around my work and family commitments whilst I get back into the swing of studying again. It has allowed me to knuckle down when I can, and slow down when I need to.

So far, I enjoyed the engineering maths, heat transfer and combustion, heat and energy balance and fluid mechanics modules. Seeing how much I enjoy maths and how it relates to process and the real world, and my job has been great. I have taken a lot of insight from them and have already started to implement in my job.

Future ambitions?

To eventually progress my studies to BEng Chemical Engineering and maybe even MEng Chemical Engineering or process engineering and become a process engineer.

Would you recommend Teesside?

Yes. The flexibility of the course is excellent. I always have support from my tutors when I need it. The subject matter is very interesting and I am learning a lot.
