She said: “I chose this degree as I have a passion for justice. I’d initially started studying criminology and sociology in 2020 at Teesside, and after having a few lectures in law, I knew that was the topic for me.

“I wanted to study at Teesside University as I had lived away from home working in France but wanted to be close to my family again. I had friends and relatives who has studied at Teesside and loved it.

“My mum completed her MBA at Teesside many years ago and has gone on to complete a successful career in social care, being awarded an OBE for her work.

“I loved the feeling of community at Teesside University, there was never a real divide between students and lecturers, if you needed anything the staff were always more than happy to help, guide and be there for a chat.

“My career aim is to become a successful and knowledgeable Court Intermediary. I hope to be able to combine my legal knowledge with my passion for fair justice.

“My studies at Teesside University really prepared me for this position, my lecturers were knowledgeable and passionate, and this was clear in their teaching.

“During my time at Teesside I completed a graduate internship, which involved carrying out research alongside one of my law lecturers. I have no doubt that without this opportunity, I would not have the knowledge and insight I now have. It truly shaped my future.”

Chloe added: “The thing I enjoyed most at Teesside University were the lectures and seminars. The lecturers in the law department were fantastic, very experienced and knowledgeable, which I found inspiring and a great learning experience.

“Teesside university not only equipped me for the future academically but also built my confidence and for that I will forever be grateful.”
