Beth Mead Scholarship

Four scholarships are available for students enrolling in the 2022-23 academic year, with a bursary of £1,200 awarded to each scholar across the duration of their three-year degree.

To be eligible, scholars must be a national, international and or a professional female footballer who can contribute positively to sport at Teesside University through international level sports performance.

Dr Keith Skeoch Postgraduate Scholarship

In 2013, Dr Keith Skeoch generously instituted a new scholarship fund. From this we are offering four £5,000 scholarships to students enrolling on postgraduate programmes at the University's School of Social Sciences, Humanities & Law and Teesside University International Business School.

Fees-funded studentships

These research opportunities are offered on a competitive basis and cover all fees associated with full-time PhD study for up to four years. Applications are welcome from strong UK and international students. You must have an appropriate visa and access to sufficient living expenses to successfully undertake the PhD on this basis - for example through other funding mechanisms such as government sponsorship or self-funding.

Institution of Mechanical Engineers Postgraduate Scholarship

If you are studying our MSc Mechanical Engineering, you could be eligible for this scholarship of up to £5,000.

Kellas Midstream Clean Energy Scholarship

Four postgraduate scholarships each worth £12,000 available in the academic year 2022-23.

You may apply for this scholarship after you have accepted an offer of a place on an eligible MSc course relating to sustainability and clean energy. Applications are welcome from academically strong UK students.

Performance Sport Scholarship Programme

You could get access to state-of-the-art equipment and expertise, and financial help. This scholarship is open to students who are athletes at international level or with exceptional international potential.

Research Council Doctoral Training Partnership Studentships

The University currently participates in a number of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) programmes. These programmes are open to UK and international students. If you are a UK student who has been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least three years, you can apply for a full award comprising full tuition fees, a stipend to cover living expenses at UKRI rates and access to the Research Training Support Grant held by the DTP to which you may apply for additional support to cover specific expenses associated with the programme.

Teesside Sanctuary Award for students seeking asylum

Five scholarships available for the 2022-23 academic year (three for undergraduate and two for postgraduate, excluding doctoral study).

Teesside University is committed to the economic, social and cultural success of our students and local communities. The University embraces diversity and opposes prejudice and injustice.

The Sanctuary award covers your course fees and contributes towards your other study costs through a learning bursary, which is made up of two payments within each academic year. The first is paid once you have enrolled on your course, and the second at the start of semester two.

Teesside Transformation Fund Postgraduate Scholarship

Did you complete an undergraduate degree at Teesside University in 2022? Have you considered continuing on to study a postgraduate course?

If you are applying to study a postgraduate course here starting in September 2022 or January 2023, you could be eligible for a scholarship worth £2,000.

University research studentships

These are fully funded research opportunities offered on a competitive basis, covering all fees associated with PhD study, together with a stipend (currently £16,000 a year tax free, unless stated otherwise) to cover living expenses for four years. Applications are welcome from strong UK and international students. International candidates will be required to obtain the appropriate UK study visa.
