The Beth Mead Scholarship supports four future football students who identify as a woman to study for a degree at Teesside University in pursuit of their career whilst supporting them to play at the highest level. The scholarship is available on an undergraduate or postgraduate course in any subject.
The scholarship runs in partnership with Beth Mead, Arsenal Women and England footballer and BA (Hons) Sports Development graduate of Teesside University.
Beth has celebrated recent success being the standout star at the 2022 European Championship which was pivotal in England winning. She picked up Player of the Tournament and won the Golden Boot for being the tournament's top goal scorer. Beth was also named England's Player of the Year and is also nominated for the Ballon d'Or and BBC's Women Footballer of The Year meaning she could soon have even more awards to her name.
With thanks to Beth for her support, four scholarships are available for students enrolling in the 2023-24 academic year, with a bursary of £1,200 awarded to each student across the duration of their course as well as continued athlete support.

You will be notified of the outcome of your application following a review shortly after submission. Successful applicants will be offered the scholarhips but not be eligible to receive the scholarship until they have succesfully enrolled and begin their course in September 2023. Some applicants may be added to a reserve list.
Places are limited and will go to the strongest applicants. All offers are subject to enrolment on a course at Teesside University.
Meeting the criteria does not guarantee you will receive a scholarship.
