The research portal provides public access to staff and student profiles, outputs, datasets and projects. The portal is populated by Pure, our research information system.

The University's Research Data Management Policy sets the requirement that a data management plan should be developed for all new research projects.
The goal is to support the effective management of research data. DMP Online provides templates and guidance for the development of data management plans, and can be accessed here.

Our research data repository allows research datasets to be openly shared. Each published dataset is assigned a DOI as a persistent identifier.

If you are involved in reviewing applications as part of a School Research Ethics Committee, you can also access the review system.
All members of academic staff at the University have an allocation within their workload for research and scholarly activity (RSA). You can book RSA and keep track of your remaining hours.
The University subscribes to Jisc Online Surveys, which supports the creation of online surveys including as part of research projects.
You can create surveys ranging from simple to complex, export responses and create reports.

e-Vision brings information from the University's student system, SITS, into a single screen. Guidance is available once you log into the system.
If you are supervising research degree students, you will be given access to e-Vision to record your supervisory meetings. We use e-Vision to ensure compliance with Tier 4 visa requirements and the University's policies on student supervision.
