Achieve Success Limited, based in Houghton le Spring, are specialists in creating and running Internet Sales Campaigns involving web design, e-marketing and most importantly, how to actually make money from the internet.
Established in April 2010 by business partners Mike Willshare and Brian Conway, Mike operates the North East office, whilst Brian manages a second office in Huddersfield.
From an early stage, Mike recognised the need for a modern set of skills and knew recruiting a graduate was the way to go. He says: 'My background is within a sales setting, particularly within IT and Telecoms, so I needed someone with cutting edge capabilities and fresh ideas.
'Teesside came back with just what I needed and were extremely efficient and helpful.'
As a result, Chris Gascoigne, 26, was employed by Achieve Success to work on the video, multi-media and animation element of the company’s service. Chris explains: 'I’m actually a graduate from Northumbria University so it was great to take advantage of Teesside University’s services to help find me a job.
'I came across the vacancy via a Facebook banner advert so I think they certainly sussed out the best way to communicate with potential applicants.'
Chris, who lives near Whitley Bay in North Tyneside, is a multi-media design graduate, and has also completed a postgraduate qualification in multi-disciplinary design innovation.
His employment with Achieve Success comes as part of Teesside University’s graduate recruitment scheme, a one-year contract where positions are part-funded by the Higher Education Innovation Fund for the first 12 weeks. Support is provided to the company and graduate throughout the contract from a representative of the University.
Mike comments: 'The funding towards the position has been a great help but the benefits of using Teesside’s services span much further.
