I decided to study marketing as the course offered the opportunity to work with live clients and I was interested in psychology in business. I’ve also enjoyed the practical learning on my course. The University has boosted my confidence and developed my entrepreneurial skills.’

‘I chose Teesside University after completing the first two years of my foundation degree at Hartlepool College of Further Education, which was delivered in partnership with Teesside. Even though I wasn’t based on the main campus, I had such a positive experience and felt really supported as a student. That made me confident in my decision to complete my final year at Teesside.

My favourite thing about being a student here is how supportive and approachable the lecturers and staff are. You never feel like just a number. The University has a great sense of community. It has a very close-knit culture, and you never feel alone, everyone wants to see you succeed.

My favourite spot on campus is the campus heart, it’s always buzzing with people and has such a nice atmosphere.

I decided to study a foundation degree in Travel & Tourism as I’m passionate about travel. This was followed by a top-up year in International Business with Marketing. My goal is to build a career where I can bring both worlds together, ideally working in marketing within the travel industry. It’s something I’m genuinely excited about and feel really driven to pursue.’
