Yes! It opened the door to amazing career opportunities and allowed me to meet great people.

How have the skills gained helped your career?

I've never been the most outspoken person but being placed in leadership situations helped me grow and gain confidence both personally and professionally.

What is your current role?

I'm a clinical supervisor at Teesside University's Sports Therapy Clinics, lead sports therapist at Norton and Stockton Ancients Football Club, and a sports therapist at Yarm Sports and Physiotherapy Clinic.

Tell us about work experience gained

I took part in external placements and worked in the University’s Massage Clinic. I sourced my own placement with support from the placement team. Practical experience made me a stronger candidate and helped shape the therapist I am today.

Just do it!
