It’s my local university, and one of the best in the country for my chosen course.
Placements in real-world environments and learning directly from professionals, plus hands-on experience.
Yes! It opened the door to amazing career opportunities and allowed me to meet great people.
I've never been the most outspoken person but being placed in leadership situations helped me grow and gain confidence both personally and professionally.
I'm a clinical supervisor at Teesside University's Sports Therapy Clinics, lead sports therapist at Norton and Stockton Ancients Football Club, and a sports therapist at Yarm Sports and Physiotherapy Clinic.
I took part in external placements and worked in the University’s Massage Clinic. I sourced my own placement with support from the placement team. Practical experience made me a stronger candidate and helped shape the therapist I am today.
Just do it!
I'm proud to say I'm already living my ambitions and Teesside played a big part in making that happen.
