Codie, 23 of Billingham, graduated from the MSc Digital Marketing. She works for Husqvarna as a Junior Product Manager for the UK.
She said: “I thoroughly enjoyed my undergraduate studies in marketing and wanted to further specialise in an area that sits at the forefront of modern business transformation.
“Digital marketing stood out because of its fast-paced, data-driven, and consumer-centric nature. The industry is constantly evolving through technology, analytics, and changing consumer behaviour, so I wanted to develop a deeper understanding of digital strategy and how brands can create meaningful engagement in increasingly competitive markets.
“The MSc gave me the opportunity to refine and expand the strategic and analytical skills I developed during my undergraduate degree.
“One of the biggest strengths of studying at Teesside University was the emphasis on experiential learning. Many of the projects replicated real industry challenges, encouraging us to think commercially, and apply marketing theory within practical business contexts
“I really enjoyed the diversity of perspectives and industry experience that some lecturers brought to the courses. Their knowledge and real-world insight made the learning experience feel authentic and highly relevant. I also really enjoyed the creative side of the modules, especially where strategic thinking was woven into practical projects and campaigns.
“Beyond the academic side, my time at Teesside University helped me develop a much deeper understanding of myself and the way I work. I’ve always been a naturally curious person, and the marketing course gave me an environment where that curiosity could really develop into critical thinking, creativity, and confidence in my own ideas.
“My advice for anyone thinking about studying at Teesside is to never underestimate how much university can shape you, beyond just gaining a qualification. If you fully embrace the opportunities, challenges, and experiences that come with it, it can genuinely change the way you think, work, and see yourself.”
