Why Teesside?

Teesside University is an excellent choice because of its dedication to student growth through unique support systems. The School of Arts & Creative Industries is known for its industry-relevant curriculum and career-focused education.

Why MA Design?

A Master’s degree in design allows me to acquire the latest methodologies, techniques, and tools, and gain exposure to emerging trends and technologies.

This course helps me demonstrate a higher level of expertise and dedication to my craft, so I am more competitive in the job market, particularly for leadership roles, teaching positions or specialised design roles as I look for new challenges.

What do you like most about your course?

It is designed to deliver maximum engagement from students which makes the learning outcomes easily achievable. Each student has the opportunity to drive the way they learn and the module deliverables can be applied to various aspects of design.

What do you think about the campus?

The top-notch facilities on campus make the learning experience seamless. I can access industry-standard workshops, careers services and studios with 24/7 access to the library. The Buttery, a dedicated building for postgraduate students, is a comfortable environment to study and network.

Thoughts on Middlesbrough and the surrounding area?

Middlesbrough's industrial heritage and natural beauty makes it a place where creativity thrives. The town is full of museums and art galleries. The nearby coastline offers scenic beaches and seaside towns, adding to the appealing experience for anyone looking for a place for a good study, work and life balance.

Ambitions for the future?

To have my own studio that focuses on addressing and resolving real-world issues through design. One sketch, one design at a time.

Would you recommend MA Design at Teesside?
