This course provided me with the opportunity to design and conduct field work, giving me real hands-on experience. This was noted during my interview for RPS.

Being on placement gives you an insight of what it is like to be working as a diagnostic radiographer and it helps you decide which speciality you want to focus on.

I loved how hands on the course was straight away. We were practising on phantom heads within a matter of weeks and learning practical skills.

I learned about the whole human body, from muscle groups to small chemical molecules. From this I found my skill was in microbiology and from there I knew what career I wanted.

The university is very accommodating and supportive of students, especially for those studying a degree alongside a full or part time job.
