Why MSc Digital Forensics and Cyber Investigation?

Forensics has fascinated me since childhood. Cyber forensics was a module in my degree and the more I learnt, the more I wanted to study this at a higher level.

Looking at international universities, I found MSc Digital Forensics and Cyber Investigations at Teesside University. Reading the modules and researching the lecturers, it looked perfect. The two-year degree with advanced practice changed classroom learning to practical experiences during the internships.

Best thing about your course?

The lecturers made the modules very easy to understand – even without a computer background, they made it so simple and interesting to learn.

Covid made things difficult as the uni went online, but the best part was the lecturers. They were always in touch, helping us through every module, assignment and thesis very gracefully.

Thoughts on the campus?

The campus facilities are top notch and access to the 24-hour library made studying easy. Even on days with no class, I still came to the university to relax and read. The gym facility is great, and the Student Union runs lots of events.

What are you doing now?

I work as a cyber security analyst for Three UK. I highly recommend Teesside University and my MSc course. I didn’t have a computer background when applying and I now have a career in this area. The course expanded my knowledge and helped me grow professionally in areas I never imagined. I did it, so can you.
