MA Curating , 2025
Since graduating in 2025, life has unfolded in meaningful and unexpected ways. I completed my MA in Curating and have been actively building my career within the contemporary art sector, working across exhibitions, workshops, and community-led creative projects. My practice continues to explore untold narratives through multidisciplinary approaches while also engaging diverse audiences through teaching and facilitation. Alongside this, I have taken on new professional challenges that have strengthened my resilience and adaptability. As I move forward, I remain committed to developing impactful curatorial work and creating spaces that foster dialogue, connection, and shared cultural experiences.
Millie McGuckin
BA (Hons) Fine Art, 2024
Since graduating from Teesside, I applied for the Bishop Auckland Town Hall Open Art exhibition; which I was successful in, and exhibited 2 sculptures. However, at the opening night I unexpectantly bumped into one of my art technicians; Julie MacBean, who was also exhibiting 2 of her amazing ink paintings. It was incredible moment I felt, to be apart of an exhibition with a someone I learned so much from in order to develop and grow as an artist.
Tamhasip Khan
Msc Chemical Engineering, 2024
I finished my Masters in Chemical engineering at Teesside University and secured a Doctoral Research Scientist position at Element Six, Ireland funded from the European Union’s Horizon Europe Framework Programme under the Marie Sk?odowska Curie Doctoral Network AIM NEXT. This PhD position is unique and involves international exposure and an industrial based research experience. My research work for my thesis at Teesside was the key component for me to avail this PhD opportunity to work on development of polycrystalline cubic boron nitride cutting tools for machining heat resistant super alloys.
Domenica Abramo
BSc Aerospace Engineering, 2021
Domenica returned to Italy after studies to pursue her masters degree in Space and Astronautical Engineering. During the last two years she has been involved in many incredible projects related to space and interplanetary exploration. She proclaims “Once a Teessider, always a Teessider! See you soon!”
Peter Coster
HNC Electrical & Electronic , 2020
After completing my HNC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, I started a job working for a leading utility company designing LV and HV electrical systems. I completed my Foundation Degree in Power Engineering whilst working for this company and have recently secured a position a Power Engineer for a consultancy firm. I am working towards becoming a professionally registered engineer and deciding on my next academic step.
Arthur Arepyev
BA Creative Media, 2020
After graduation Arthur continued his studies online and started working in a VFX studio, Universal Production Partners, where he worked on the projects such as Gran Turismo, Barbie and Foundation. After this, he switched to being freelance where he worked creative visuals with different clients such as IQOS. Arthur is currently working for different startups based in the United States developing projects in Unreal Engine, and slowly building his own brand and business.
