Teesside University welcomes over 20,000 graduands, guests, friends and staff to Middlesbrough campus across the fortnight of activity. It is an occasion for the whole University community to come together and celebrate academic achievement and the successful conclusion of studies.

Graduation is one of the University’s largest events and we need volunteers to help make graduation a happy, special and positive occasion.

Alongside staff who will be volunteering their time, this year we’re pleased to open up volunteer roles to interested alumni.

Which role might suit me?
  • Guest Assistant – This role includes providing a warm welcome to everyone, directing guests and helping manage the flow of people around campus. A vital role in ensuring guests get the most out of their day on campus.
  • Social Media Content Assistant - This fun and interactive role will involve engaging graduates to create content and gaining their agreement to feature across our social media channels.
How much time do I need to commit?
Volunteering can be for a few hours only, or for those with more time available, can be repeated over a number of days within graduation fortnight. You can specify the days and times of interest when you register your volunteering interest, online.

How will I know what to do?
Prior to the event you will be provided with a detailed briefing pack and volunteer guide. You’ll also be greeted on the day and further information will be provided to ensure you have a comfortable on-campus experience.
