Why take part?

Adventure, nature and mindful movement can have a positive impact on wellbeing and personal development. Taking part can help you to:

Alongside outdoor activities, you'll be introduced to practical wellbeing tools such as mindful movement, grounding techniques and breathing exercises that can support focus, calm and emotional wellbeing in everyday life.

A programme for everyone

Adventure for Wellbeing follows a unique progression pathway, allowing you to engage at a level that feels comfortable while offering opportunities to develop confidence and skills over time.

Outsidey

Gentle and accessible experiences focused on relaxation, nature connection and wellbeing. Activities include mindful walks, hammocking, meditation sessions and creative outdoor activities.

Outdoorsy

Activities that introduce a greater sense of exploration and challenge while maintaining a strong focus on wellbeing, support and enjoyment.

Outdoorsy+

More adventurous experiences that encourage participants to stretch their comfort zones, build confidence and experience a sense of achievement in a safe and supportive environment.

You can join at any level, and progression is always participant-led. There is no expectation to move between stages. Our priority is helping you find experiences that support your wellbeing and personal goals.

Wellbeing at the heart of everything we do

Across all activities, the programme is underpinned by:

  • nature connection
  • mindfulness and meditation
  • breathwork and nervous system regulation
  • creative expression
  • reflection and journalling
  • personal growth and self-discovery
  • social connection and belonging.

This holistic approach ensures that adventure becomes more than just an activity. It becomes a way of building confidence, resilience, self-awareness and wellbeing.

Climbing for Wellbeing

Climbing for Wellbeing is an inclusive and supportive activity that combines physical movement, problem-solving and personal achievement to promote positive mental health and wellbeing.

Whether you're completely new to climbing or have previous experience, this is an opportunity to step outside your comfort zone, try something new and discover strengths you may not have realised you had.

Climbing can help build confidence, resilience and self-belief while reducing stress and creating opportunities to connect with others in a welcoming environment. By focusing on the process rather than performance, participants can challenge themselves at their own pace and enjoy a sense of accomplishment, community and fun.

You'll get the most from this opportunity by attending regularly. However, if you can't make every session, you're still very welcome to join whenever you can.
