Course overview

You develop skills in jazz, ballet, acting, acting through Song, acting for camera and contextual studies. You perform in local theatres including the Arc in Stockton, Billingham, and the newly renovated Middlesbrough Town Hall.

You become part of the SRCMTEnsemble with two performances across the course of the year ending with a spectacular musical as part of the HEFest. You develop performance skills alongside growing your creative practice and taking on a production role within the SRCMTEnsemble.

The programme aims to take work to the NSDF (National Student Drama Festival) as well as undertaking trips to local, national and international theatres. London and New York Trips are planned for every other year. There are regular industry workshops as well as practical and academic seminars.

There are potential progression routes to drama school, employment or onto further study on our bespoke BA (Hons) Performing Arts (Top-up) degree.

This is an award of Teesside University delivered in partnership with Stockton Riverside College (campus code 3, call 01642 865400 for more information on this course).

You have a unique opportunity to help shape the future of SRCPerformingArts. The course provides you with future opportunities to become involved in SRC, local and national theatres and production companies.
