I’m really interested in all elements of law – discovering how and why the law works, learning about human rights and analysing if the law is successful in its aims. I find law really intriguing.
The best thing about my course is the relationship I have formed with my lecturers. Building a good rapport with them makes it less daunting to ask questions in lectures and makes it easier to ask for help and guidance when you need it the most.
I’ve most enjoyed studying Citizen and the State, Employment Law and Civil and Criminal Evidence – these areas have many high profile cases attached to them are particularly interesting to learn about.
The University campus is great. There is lots of support available if you are struggling to decide on a future career path, and the Students’ Union also provides help if you’re struggling to find your feet.
I hope to continue into postgraduate study at Teesside University and then undertake the legal practice courses required to become a solicitor.
A law degree is essential for pursuing a legal career – I wouldn’t be able to achieve my dreams without the University. I hope that a strong 2:1 classification will open lots of doors for me.
I would 100% recommend Teesside University to anyone, and I’d definitely encourage others to study law if it’s something they are passionate about.
