Why Teesside?

After working in the tourism industry as a member of a cabin crew I decided I wanted to expand my knowledge so I can progress my career. The experienced tutors and lecturers are a big reason as to why I chose to study at Teesside as that set the course apart from the others.

Why aviation and tourism?

After looking at other courses available I decided this one is for me. The range of modules and topics is great and it provides you with an excellent level of knowledge in a variety of areas.

Best thing about your course?

The course has a focus on management which enables me to participate in seminars with aviation professionals. One of these seminars was led by the head of marketing at Edinburgh Airport. The relationship with industry professionals allows me to learn new information directly from those in senior positions.

Tell us about your work placement

I completed a work placement at Teesside Airport as part of the Work-related Research Project module. The aim was to conduct a research project for an organisation within the aviation industry. The partnership between the University and Teesside Airport allowed me to become a Research Co-ordinator which includes analysing consumer experience at the airport.

Would you recommend Teesside?

I would absolutely recommend Teesside and the course. It is led by experts in the field who have a depth of experience which is demonstrated through the level of teaching. The tutors provide a real-time insight into the tourism and aviation industry which you won’t get anywhere else.
