Health and Safety Group

The health and safety committee meet twice a year to discuss agenda items such as policy updates, successes and failures, training undertaken and any other relevant issues relating to health and safety.

study accidents and occupational diseases with a view to identifying trends and reporting to management on unsafe/unhealthy conditions and practices and provide recommendations for action
action concerns raised by safety representatives
assist in developing safety policies, safety rules and systems of work
check on the effectiveness of safety training and communications
action reports and information provided by the Health and Safety Executive and provide a link, via the Senior Health & Safety Adviser, to them
carry out inspections where appropriate
examine audits and safety inspections and monitor corrective actions.
