The International Student Barometer (ISB) is an annual survey conducted by Etio, an independent organisation that reviews, evaluates, benchmarks, and supports education services in institutions worldwide.

About the International Student Barometer (ISB)

The International Student Barometer (ISB) provides universities with an understanding of international students' motivations, expectations and experiences at participating institutions worldwide.

At Teesside University, we use this survey to gain insights into the experience we offer our international students, identify what we are doing well, and understand where we can improve.

In the 2025 survey, 718 responses were given out of 95,734 global participants and 30,247 UK participants.

  • 93.4% of students studying at Teesside University reported they were happy overall in the International Student Barometer 2025 (Wave 2).
  • 91.8% of students studying at Teesside University were satisfied with value for money in the International Student Barometer 2025 (Wave 2).
  • 93.6% of students studying at Teesside University were satisfied with career goal preparation in the International Student Barometer 2025 (Wave 2).

Arrival
