Admissions Appeals Process

If your application to the University has been unsuccessful you may ask the University to reconsider its decision but only under specific grounds:

  • that there was a material and/or procedural irregularity in the decision-making process. ('Procedural Irregularity' in this context means non adherence to the University's Admissions Policy or any procedures that are specific to the course applied for, which may include procedures relating to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks).
  • That there is evidence of discrimination or bias against the applicant.

If you feel your case falls under one, or both, of these grounds completed applications should be submitted to the Office of Student Complaints, Appeals and Regulations (OSCAR) within 10 working days from receipt of notification that your admission application has been unsuccessful.

If you have any queries on the process please contact OSCAR.
