Arts Council: Great Place Project

The Centre for Social Evaluation and Impact (CSEI) is carrying out an evaluation of the Heritage Lottery funded Great Place project, which proposes to use culture and arts to connect communities across the Tees Valley and to coalesce a positive and authentic sense of belonging across the region.

The overarching aim of the SEIC’s evaluation of the project is to investigate the individual conditions that have contributed to the project achieving its ambitions.

It will explore the impact upon local pride and a positive sense of place and understand the contribution of the project in terms of a sustainable legacy of cultural belonging and sense of place across the Tees Valley.

Ultimately, the outcome will allow different elements of the project to contextualise their place-based approaches.
