You may be eligible for £6,000 if you study nursing, midwifery or diagnostic radiography and are facing financial difficulty.
Preference is given to candidates who are the first generation in their family to attend university, and from a low-income background or an area of economic disadvantage.
You are considered based on the financial circumstances demonstrated in your application statement and other applicant data available to the University.

Awards are made at the discretion of the Scholarships Panel, who may consider your financial background, prior academic performance, as well as other information provided through your application and at any subsequent interview.

Professor Leni Oglesby OBE was among the University's first donors and has generously sponsored a number of prizes for graduating students. She is a former Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Teesside University and began sponsoring prizes after being struck by the sacrifice and dedication students showed to complete their studies.
