Thirteen is offering a limited number of scholarships to their customers and their families to cover the cost of their Teesside University fees.
This is a fantastic opportunity, if you live in a Thirteen home and are on a low income, to get financial help towards your tuition fees and study for a degree to help you on to a career path. As a condition of this scholarship you will be added to Thirteen's involved customer database and will be expected to feedback on business decisions such as regulation, training, policies. This allows your voice to be heard in our local communities, and builds your personal and employability skills. Any time spent helping Thirteen will contribute towards the Volun-tees scheme.
Undergraduate courses that will be supported include:
Any nursing, midwifery or health profession programme, health science or food and nutrition programme.
Any social work programme or education, early childhood and youth programme.
Any accountancy, marketing and enterprise programme.
My new volunteering goal is silver (75 hours) by next year and gold (100 hours) by the end of my course. There are several other volunteer activities which I take part in but I love being able to do this with Thirteen and hopefully can continue throughout the next few years.
Scholarship applications are now open and the deadline date for applications is 31 May 2021.
