Working collaboratively with businesses, end-users, and practice partners our internationally excellent research makes a significant impact on people's lives and wellbeing. We undertake interdisciplinary research to develop new interventions, tools and therapies for health and social care such as low cost diagnostic and therapeutic devices.

Recent projects include helping chronic pain sufferers to understand and manage the overall impact of persistent pain. Enhancing patient outcomes and quality of life following high risk surgery via the development of novel pre-surgical exercise programmes, and using a range of effective preventative health strategies such as targeted education programmes on alcohol-related behaviour and diet.
