Teesside University is ranked in the top 40 in the country for graduate prospects, according to the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018.
The University has risen nine places in the influential league table, the highest climber across the five North East universities.
The positive position in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide builds on the University’s performance in the Guardian University Guide earlier this year, which saw Teesside move up 23 places to 79th, one of the highest climbers.
Professor Paul Croney, Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive, said: 'Teesside University is pleased that the hard work and dedication of its students and staff is reflected in its improved position of 92nd in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018. We are committed to providing an outstanding student and learning experience and are encouraged to see a rise in this year’s rankings.
'In particular, we are pleased to see that our commitment to developing graduates who are prepared for the workplace is recognised by our ranking in the top 40 for graduate prospects. As an anchor institution supporting the regional economy, the University works closely with employers on a number of innovative schemes to ensure our graduates are highly skilled.
We are pleased to see that our commitment to developing graduates who are prepared for the workplace is recognised by our ranking in the top 40 for graduate prospects.
'The University’s continual progress has this year resulted in a Silver award in the Teaching Excellence Framework, a number of our courses scoring 100% for overall student satisfaction in the 2017 National Student Survey and recognition as being among the world’s top higher education institutions in the 2018 Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
'Earlier this month, the University also launched its campus masterplan, which will see £300m invested in the campus over the next ten years as part of our commitment to provide the very best student and learning experience. This builds on the £270m already invested in the campus in recent years and will take spending on the University infrastructure beyond half a billion pounds.'
