English & Creative Writing

Our English & Creative Writing courses are founded on the principle that words matter and can intervene (both positively and negatively) in the world. Each course offers a unique blend of critical, creative and cultural study, designed to foster an advanced understanding of the relationship between critical and creative practice. We believe in an expansive approach to English studies, combining literary analysis and the exploration of historical, political and cultural contexts with a range of innovative approaches to the study of cultural theory, the politics of representation, and the value of literature and creative writing within wider culture and society.
