My course didn’t just provide technical knowledge, it shaped how I think, solve problems and approach real-world challenges. The practical projects, presentations, and the opportunity to work with digital tools and gain hands-on lab experience helped me become more confident and prepared for industry expectations.
As an international master’s student, the most valuable experience at Teesside has been the facilities. I have had access to the newest industry standard software, and technology.
I was a bit nervous about coming as an international student initially, but Teesside has a good mix of cultures which made me more comfortable.
There is a mixture of classroom sessions and practical exercises designed to put you in real life scenarios that you work your way through.
The interdisciplinary nature of the course ensures that each student attains their individual learning outcome.
What I appreciate most about my course is the blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application. The modules are designed to be engaging and offer practical placement experience to train on the job while receiving constructive feedback through observations from tutors and mentors.
The services are amazing, especially in career advice, student support and volunteering opportunities.
The highlight of my student experience has been realising how far I’ve come, something I couldn’t see at the beginning of my studies. I’ve developed skills I never thought I would, from technical tools to problem-solving and critical thinking.
Moving from my home country to the UK and adjusting to a new culture while managing my studies at Teesside University has been a significant journey of growth. I developed critical, technical and professional skills, which allowed me to apply what I learned effectively.
Practical experience and placements were key components in my first year. I have also learnt the theory of patient-centred care – where everyone should be treated individually, putting the patient first.
